Pioneer Wine Trail event marks the end of summer
The Southeast Michigan Pioneer Wine Trail will be hosting its annual end-of-summer wine pairing event, the Wine Days of Summer picnic trail, on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 30 and 31.
Participants are invited to take a self-driving tour of Pioneer Wine Trail wineries and enjoy picnic-related food prepared by a local chef or restaurant at each stop. Every winery will provide pourings of one of their wines that pairs well with the food.
Participating wineries are Cherry Creek Cellars of Cement City and Parma, St. Julian Winery of Dundee and Parma, Lone Oak Vineyard Estate of Grass Lake, Sandhill Crane Vineyards of Dexter and Jackson and the Pentamere Winery of Tecumseh.
