Statistics on Traveling Vineyard Direct Sales Business

Gordon Romer, CEO of The Traveling Vineyard and Geerlings and Wade presented the State of The Vineyard Address at the TTV National Convention last weekend.

The direct sales wine industry, especially the #1 at home wine company is booming! Wine is out selling beer and the U.S. is on the cusp of becoming the world's largest comsumer of wine.

Over $25 BILLION dollars is spent on wine each year! Women ages 25 to 50 are the fastest growing wine drinking group!

TTV did over 14,000 in home tastings in 2006 with over 175,000 tasters AND 94% of guests ordered wine through the parent company Geerlings and Wade!

Also in 2006
80,000 new tasters at events!
9,300 cusomers ordered wine through consultants personal estate websites!
3,800 new Passport wine clubs were marketed

1,400 consultants joined TTV in 2006
1,700 consultants are expected to join TTV in 2007!
