Traveling Vineyard - Who are we?

I have had some emails from some readers interested in finding out what are company actually does, so I thought I would give you all a semi- brief synopsis.

The Traveling Vineyard operates in half of the states in the US. We are revolutionizing the wine tasting experience because we are turning living rooms into tasting rooms. Do not get me wrong- NOTHING beats a wine tasting at a vineyard, but there are many reasons why we can't always find a way to get to a vineyard. For instance, If you live in Allentown, PA. and want to try all italian wines and you can't get 10 friends to Tuscany, Italy or even Santa Barbara...try 5 of TTV's italian wines or California wines in your living room! See?

The wine is sourced by the wine distributor Geerlings and Wade who is COMMITTED to sourcing wines from smaller (boutique) wineries from around the world. I know Marilyn Browen, Huib Geerlings, Gordon Romer and the TTV support team personally - they have a real passion for wines. They are not a large distributor trying to market just any wine. They had the passion for wine first, then the business idea and 20 years later this in home idea...so the wine came first! Take it from me-Huib is like any one of us who has a passion for wine. He had this fantastic idea how to bring wines from smaller wineries all over the world directly to the American public...and this idea has transformed recently into The Traveling Vineyard.

Consultants are focused on training guests how to taste wine. TTV creates personal relationships with the winemakers and suppliers and even flies some of them into Boston once a year in order to meet the consultants! This year the event will be the last weekend in July! Last years event was spectacular and we are double the amount of winemakers and suppliers this year.

Hosts and guests, besides trying 5 of TTV wines, being guided through the wine tasting process and getting the background on the wines, are also treated to discounts by Geerlings and Wade, much as they would be at a winery!Every tasting is 5 new wines! So guests, after multiple tastings, have truly expanded their repertoire and not just tasted a wine, but learned the background too! That is personal attention to detail of each wine and each TTV client!

TTV is a company to get involved with as a consultant if you love wine and money. Bottom line is that you can fit the 'job' into any lifestyle. TI say 'job' because it feels more like a hobby! We have male and female consultants from all walks of life. Accountants, stay at home mothers, doctors, politicians, teachers...you name it! Some consultants do TTV to make money, others just to try tons of wine, others to meet people...MANY to get their own personal wine discounts on wines that are already at distributor prices--plus all of the wine consultant tax writeoffs and home based business writeoffs that go with an Independent Wine Consultant business.

Our wines are fantastic and the relationships that are built between hosts, consultants, guests, winemakers and the executive team at our company is really with getting in on- we are definitely a wine loving family!
